Patricia J. Saari, 57, Plover, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, following a 12-year battle with cancer, while under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Steven Olson officiating.
Visitation was scheduled to be held at Boston Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday and at the church from 2 p.m. Friday until the celebration.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Portage County or the American Cancer Foundation.

Mrs. Saari was born March 9, 1955, in Bessemer, Mich., a daughter of the late August and Nelda (Moberg) Pasqualucci. She grew up in Montreal, Wis., and graduated in 1973 from J.E. Murphy High School in Hurley. She later attended the Patricia Stevens Career College in Milwaukee and Indianhead Technical College in Ashland.
She was married to Dennis Saari on Nov. 29, 1975, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montreal, Wis. They lived in Kansas City, Mo., where she worked as a clerk in a Woolworth store.
They moved to Sheboygan in 1978 due to her husband’s work transfer. She worked as a waitress at the Log Cabin Restaurant in the neighboring village of Howards Grove. In 1981 her family moved to the Stevens Point area where she worked at St. Michael’s Hospital for 16 years, most of the years as a pharmacy technician. She later began her own daycare business called Mini Me Day Care. She operated the business for about three years.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Coffee Babes, the Knitting Group, and the Quilt Chicks online quilting group.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Alexia (Ben) Heimbach, Wild Rose, and Greta (Jason) Filipiak, Mosinee; one son, Steven, Stevens Point; one brother, Joseph Pasqualucci, Fairview Heights, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.
