Lorraine V. Knitter, 89, Stevens Point, died Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the Stevens Point Care Center in Whiting.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Dennis Stanchik officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point.
Visitation will be at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and in the St. Faustina Room of the church from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass. The St. Peter’s Rosary Society will combine with the parish rosary at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Knitter was born March 23, 1923, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late John and Florence (Drefcinski) Olbrantz. She was a 1940 graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School.
She was married to Raymond Knitter on Nov. 7, 1942, in Austin, Texas. He died on June 25, 1989.
She worked as a head cook at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for 30 years, retiring in 1984.
She was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church Rosary Society for more than 50 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Larry) Lepak, Plover, and Karen (Stan) Skutek, Stevens Point.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanore Klestinski and Ramona Bushman.
