Leon H. Miller, 86, Morris, Pa., a longtime resident of Plover and Almond, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at his home.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
Carleton Funeral Home Inc. of Wellsboro, Pa., assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Miller was born April 16, 1925, in Pitman, Pa.
He moved to Chicago, Ill., to work at Mars Candy Co.
He was married to Irene Stroik.
They moved to Wisconsin, where he worked for Galloway’s and delivered propane. He also worked in Wautoma as a small engine mechanic.
He opened his own small engine shop after buying a 60-acre farm in Plover.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Submarine Veterans of World War II.
Survivors include two sisters, Ruby Rhoads and Elaine Dodd; and his longtime companion, Delores Strasser.
