John “Ron” Lorbiecki, 76, Rosholt, died Sunday, April 22, 2012, at his home.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galloway, with the Rev. Augustine Bentil officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until the Mass.

Mr. Lorbiecki was born April 23, 1935, in Galloway, a son of the late John and Ida (Kluck) Lorbiecki.
He entered the U.S. Army on May 5, 1952, in Milwaukee. He received the Korean service medal with one Bronze Battle Star, United Nations Service Medal, ROK Presidential Unit Citation and the National Defense Service Medal. He was honorably discharged on May 4, 1955, at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
He entered the U.S. Navy on June 27, 1956, and retired from it on June 26, 1973, with the rank of MM1.
After the Navy he worked at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, Ill., retiring in October of 1995.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 509 of Rosholt.
Survivors include two brothers, Alfred, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Hilary, King; one sister, Marianne Gann, Rosholt; one foster brother, Norb Kozikowski, Rosholt; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Maynard, Robert, LeRoy, James Richard and Richard James “Jim.”
