Howard E. Jannusch, 80, Amherst, died Monday, April 23, 2012, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst, with the Rev. Mark Moldenhauer officiating. Interment will be in Bickel Cemetery in the town of Amherst.
Visitation will be at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the services.
Memorials can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Mr. Jannusch was born Jan. 13, 1932, in Des Plaines, Ill., a son of the late Herman and Minnie (Kautz) Jannusch.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst.
Survivors include one son, David (Karen), Geneva, Ill.; two daughters, Debbie (Fred) Hug, Des Plaines, Ill., and Donna (Ric) Sisi, Arlington Heights, Ill.; one brother, Raymond, Palatine, Ill.; one sister, Margaret (Bob) Bunce, Des Plaines, Ill.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his caregiver, Julie Hansen.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Carl (Florence) and Roy; and one sister, Evelyn (Harold) Helfogt.
