E. Keith Manock, 82, Almond, died Monday, April 2, 2012, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Almond United Methodist Church in Almond, with the Rev. David Leistra officiating.
Visitation will be at the church from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. Saturday until the service.
Memorials in his name should be given to the Almond Village Fire Department or Joseph’s Hope Food Pantry.
Mr. Manock was born on July 10, 1929, in the town of Trivola in Illinois, a son of the late Arthur and Eva (Rodgers) Manock.
He was married to M. Dannielle Fix on June 6, 1964, in Almond.
He was a self-employed carpenter for many years, working side by side with his father until he was hired by Wolohan Lumber Co. in 1968.
He continued to work in the same building with Stock Lumber when that company bought out Wolohan Lumber. He retired in 2008 after 40 years.
He was a member of the Almond Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of United Methodist Church in Almond.
He was diagnosed with leukemia in 1999, with kidney cancer in 2008 and melanoma in 2009.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Rodger (Deb), Omro, Michael (Amanda), La Crosse, and Danny, Stevens Point; one daughter, Susan (Andy) Besaw, Bancroft; one brother, Russell (Betty Ann), Canton, Ill.; and six grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Gale; and one sister, Virginia.
