Dorothy M. Wasniewski, 77, 246 Fourth Ave., Stevens Point, died Friday, April 13, 2012, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, following a battle with cancer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ladislaus Catholic Church Cemetery in Bevent.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass. St Peter’s Rosary Society will pray the rosary at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Donations should be given to St. Peter Catholic Church.

Mrs. Wasniewski was born on June 10, 1934, in Bevent, a daughter of the late Leonard and Estelle (Gross) Dombeck. She graduated from Rosholt High School in 1952.
She was married to John Wasniewski on April 28, 1956 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent. He died on May 31, 2010.
They lived in Muskegon, Mich., before moving to Stevens Point in 1968.
She was employed at J.C. Penney for many years.
She was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church Rosary Society Rose 5.
Survivors include her four daughters, Cathy (Roger) Gorius, Tracy, Minn., Carla (Dave) Zick, Wausau, and Maria (Guy) Janssen and Amy (Aaron) Parks, both of Stevens Point; three sons, John (Karen), Gold Hill, Ore., Lance (Theri), Brainerd, Minn., and Louis (Hilary), Idaho Falls, Idaho; four brothers, Daniel Dombeck, Thermopolis, Wyo., Jerome (Linda) Dombeck and Jim Dombeck, both of Rhinelander, and Mike (Pat) Dombeck, Stevens Point, one sister, Loretta Lukas, New Berlin; 17 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
