Carl Palash, 87, West Bend, a Portage County native, died Saturday, April 7, 2012.
A Funeral Mass will be held at noon Friday at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church in West Bend, with the Rev. John Radetski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. Friday.

Mr. Palash was born Jan. 6, 1925, in the town of Buena Vista, a son of the late John and Malvina (Konkol) Palash.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a resident of West Bend for his adult life following his years of Army service.
He was married to Delores Freitag on Feb. 4, 1956, in West Bend.
He retired from the West Bend School District after 19 years in 1988.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Carl R.(Denise), Carol Stream, Ill., Steven, West Bend; two daughters, Mary(Ty) Vaughan, Pewaukee, and Laurie(Bob) Yahr, West Bend; his twin brother, Clement, Slinger; two sisters, Evelyn Staniszewski, Milwaukee, and Florence Muldoon, South Bend, Ind.; and eight grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, John, Barney, Raymond and Chester; and eight sisters, Lucy Sharafinski, Susan Sopa, Jenny Sharafinski, Gertrude Sharafinski, Marie Muehrke, Caroline Sopa, Sister Immaculata (Bernice) and Delphine Weisbrod.
