Martin A. “Mike” Krause, 98, Almond, died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Iola Living Assistance in Iola.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Amherst, with the Revs. Mark Moldenhauer and John Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the service.

Mr. Krause was born Aug. 18, 1913, in the town of Almond, a son of the late Louie and Matilda (Schulke) Krause.
He was married to Elaine Rusch on Oct. 27, 1945, in Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Waupaca.
He farmed in the town of Almond and also worked at Pagel Construction in Almond, Wagner Cheese Co. in Weyauwega and Hanes Feed Mill in Amherst Junction.
He was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Amherst.
Survivors include his wife, Iola; two daughters, Nila (Pat) Peskie, Amherst, and Vera (Allen) Erdmann, Plainfield; one son, Roy (Pam), Almond; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Velda Webster, Ester Lueck and Freida Christensen; and one grandson.
