Connie Hamm, 68, Hattiesburg, Miss., a former Stevens Point resident, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church in Hattiesburg, Miss.
Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. Saturday until the service.
A memorial has been established at St. John Lutheran Church in her name.
Mrs. Hamm was born March 31, 1943, in Wayne, Mich., a daughter of Zelma “Sally” Hanson and the late Erv Hanson. They relocated to Stevens Point where she spent her elementary and high school years.
Following her graduation from Valparaiso University, she became a stewardess for United Air Lines based in Chicago, Ill.
She was married to Harvey Hamm on July 30, 1966, in Elk Grove Village, Ill.
They resided in Wisconsin Rapids until 1985 when they relocated to Hattiesburg, Miss.
She worked several years in the social work field as a rehab counselor for Opportunity Development Centers in Wisconsin and a case worker and fraud investigator for the Mississippi Department of Human Services.
She was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church where she was a chair of the Altar Guild.
Survivors include her husband; her mother, Hattiesburg, Miss.; one son, Heath (Audrey), Decatur, Ala.; and two grandchildren.
