Catherine “Kay” Czlapinski, 81, Stevens Point, died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the Mass.

Mrs. Czlapinski was born May 21, 1930, in the town of Linwood, a daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Langer) Flaig. She attended P.J. Jacobs High School. She worked at Frost Fly Tying Factory in her younger years.
She was married to Joseph Narel Jr. on July 29, 1950, in Stevens Point. He died in 1953.
She was married to Harold “Bud” Czlapinski Sr. on June 1, 1955, in Nekoosa. He died in 2002.
The couple settled in Stevens Point, and owned and operated K’s Tropical Pet Shop from 1969 to 1979.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s St. Anne’s Society, T.O.P.S. and the Lincoln Center Walking Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Gail (Terry) Benzine, Custer; six sons, Michael (Nancy), Oshkosh, Dennis (Elaine) and Joseph, both of Stevens Point, Rick (Kim), West St. Paul, Minn., Harold (Talana), Omaha, Neb., and Darold (Vickie), Farmington, N.M.; two sisters, Evelyn (Sam) Isherwood, Delavan, and Helen Niemczyk, Stevens Point; two brothers, Ray Flaig, Stevens Point, and Walter (Lillian) Flaig, Rudolph; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, two brothers and two sisters.
