Robert Schmidt, 63, Weidenbach, Germany, son of a Stevens Point woman and brother of five Stevens Point residents, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, following a battle with cancer.
Services will be held Sunday, Feb. 26, in Weidenbach, Germany.
Donations may be made to the Humane Society of Portage County.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Schmidt; one daughter, Andreas Schmidt, Weidenbach, Germany; one son, Christian (Edit) Schmidt, Weidenbach, Germany; his mother, Irmgard Donath, Stevens Point; and four sisters, Ingrid (Harry) Weinert, Berlin, Germany, and Christa (Ted) Strong, Diane Salvinski and Sandra Brown, all of Stevens Point; two brothers, Klaus (Diane) Anderson and Gary (Peggy) Anderson, both of Stevens Point; and three grandchildren.
