Frances B. Bertz, 69, Stevens Point, died unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Robert Butz officiating.
Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point.
Visitation will be held at Shula Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the Mass.

Mrs. Bertz was born Aug. 29, 1942, in Green Bay, a daughter of the late Max and Stella (Kowalkowski) Szymanski. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy and later attended Marquette University, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, UW-Stevens Point and Mid-State Technical College to further her education.
She was married to Thomas Bertz on Sept. 25, 1965, in Green Bay.
The couple moved to Whitefish Bay. They moved to Madison in 1967 where they lived until 1973 when they moved to Stevens Point.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Thomas Jr. (Jill), Waunakee; one daughter, Sue (Eric Freund) Bertz, Wisconsin Rapids; one brother, Jerry (Kathy) Szymanski; and five grandchildren.
