Thomas R. “Tommy” Zinda, 42, Almond, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at his home, following a battle with ALS.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in the town of Buena Vista between Plover and Waupaca, with the Rev. Paul Lippert and Deacon James Trzinski officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the town of Lanark.
Visitation will be at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.

Mr. Zinda was born Aug. 26, 1969, in Stevens Point, a son of David L. and Judy (Dambroski) Zinda. He graduated from Amherst High School in 1987.
He was married to Pam Yeska on April 16, 1994, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Heffron.
He worked for many years at County Materials in Stevens Point.
He was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Allan, Alex and Austin; his parents, Amherst Junction; one brother, David (Chris) Zinda II, Stevens Point; and his father- and mother-in-law: Richard and Jo Ann Yeska, Wild Rose.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Jody Sue.
