Phillip Crawford Gormley, 89, Amherst Junction, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2012.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Nelsonville Lutheran Church in Nelsonville, with the Rev. Dwight Anderson officiating.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the service.

Mr. Gormley was born Sept. 1, 1922, in Genoa, Ill., a son of the late Louis V. and Laura R. (Crawford) Gormley.
He was married to Shirley Olsen on Sept. 21, 1974, in Genoa, Ill.
He retired as a major from the U.S. Air Force after 28 years of service. He served as a flight instructor and squadron commander.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Tammy (Sam) Cavarretta, Carbondale, Ill., Carol (Albert) Ryczek, Amherst, and Sandy (Con) Deering, Vernon Hills, Ill; one sister, Jean Merritt, Surprise, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Tom; and one sister, Betty Ollmann.
