Peter J. Zarecki, 78, Junction City, died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Burial will be in the St. Michael Parish Cemetery in Junction City.
Visitation will be at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and in the St. Faustina Room of the church from 9 a.m. Thursday until the Mass. The Knights of Columbus and the St. Peter’s Holy Name Society will combine with the parish rosary at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
A memorial in his name will be established at a later date.

Mr. Zarecki was born April 29, 1933, in the town of Carson, a son of the late John and Angeline (Tylka) Zarecki.
He was married to Adrieann Raflik on Sept. 15, 1956, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek.
He was a lifetime dairy farmer, with part-time employment at cranberry marshes and as a school bus driver. He also worked for the Kickapoo fertilizer plant and did maintenance at the Portage County Health Care Center and CenterPoint MarketPlace.
He was a member of St. Peter Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus of Junction City.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael (Susan) and Robert (Jessica Wroblewski), both of Junction City; five daughters, Cindy (Bob) Brill, Stevens Point, Sandra (Randy) Thompson, Laureen (Ron) Mayek and Kariann Zarecki, all of Junction City, and Barbara (Bruce) Sondelski, Mosinee; one sister, Mary (Bill) Houtary, Stevens Point; 23 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kathleen Zarecki; six brothers, John, Raymond, Walter, Louis and two infant brothers; and four sisters, Rose Vellos, Wanda Cyrus, Anna Benkowski and Angeline Mallek.
