Mary Ann Karch, 76, Apache Junction, Ariz., formerly of Stevens Point, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012.
A memorial service will be held in Apache Junction, Ariz. Burial will be held in Wisconsin at a later date.
Mrs. Karch was born Feb. 14, 1935, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Ernest and Wanda (Shroda) Wanserski. She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point in 1954.
She was married to James Newby on Aug. 2, 1954, in Stevens Point. He died on Oct. 29, 1971.
She was married to Leonard M. Karch on March 10, 1978.
They resided in Arnott until their move to Arizona in 1992.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard; three daughters, Sherry (Ron) Peters, Mosinee, Cindy (Steve) Carr, Amherst Junction, and Paula (Jason) Wanta, Arnott; one son, Jim (Patti) Newby, Plover; four stepdaughters, Kay (Fred) Molski, Kellner, Barb (Fred) Sankey, Plover, Lorraine (Harry) Glisczinski, Amherst Junction, and Debbie (Jeff) Werachowski, Custer; one stepson, Robert (Cheri) Karch, Rosholt; 28 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was also preceded in death by one grandson.
