Dorothy Slowinski Ruschmann, 83, formerly of the Stevens Point area, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, in Grand Rapids, Mich.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Mrs. Ruschmann was born April 27, 1928, in Mill Creek, a daughter of the late Anton and Stella Slowinski. She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point.
She was the office secretary at P.J. Jacobs before leaving the area and moving to Grand Rapids, Mich.
She was married to Joseph Ruschmann on July 28, 1950. He died on Feb. 9, 1993.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie (Jim) Warner and Suellen (Kevin) Jeffers; two sons, Paul Ruschmann and Rob (Shari) Ruschmann; one brother, Roman (Sophie) Slowinski, Stevens Point; and six grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Bernard “Bernie”; seven brothers, Leo, John, Benedict, Aloise, Steven, Alexander and Alfred; and seven sisters, Frances Slowinski, Martha Cabot, Theresa Mansavage, Angeline Loftis, Florence Smith, Cecelia Lindstrom and Sophie “Sally” O’Leary.
