Alina S. Rybnikova, 22, a former Stevens Point resident, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, in Mundelein, Ill.
A funeral service will be held in Russia at a later date.
Visitation will be held at the Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31. The Knights of Columbus, of which her step father is a member, will lead the rosary at 7 p.m.

Ms. Rybnikova was born March 13, 1989, in Magadan, Russia, a daughter of Galina (Duane) Zaborowski. She moved to America with her mother in 2005 and attended Stevens Point Area Senior High School. She returned for a short time in 2006 to Russia to graduate with her class from Krasnodar High School No. 69 in Russia. She returned to Stevens Point and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for one year in the foreign language program, and then attended and graduated from Mid-State Technical College in 2008 with a degree in cosmetology. She was currently working in the Mundelein area as a retail cellphone store manager and also as a hair stylist. She was attending Lake County Community College to further her education.
Survivors include her mother, Galina (Surzhikova) Zaborowski; her stepfather, Duane Zaborowski, Stevens Point; her maternal grandparents, Nikolay Surzhikov and Zinaida Surzhikova, Krasnodar, Russia; and her stepgrandparents, Daniel and Fran Zaborowski, Amherst Junction.
