Derrick J. Freeberg, 20, 3300 Dan’s Drive, Stevens Point, died unexpectedly Friday, April 20, 2007, in Menomonie, due to an automobile accident.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christian Life Fellowship Church in Port Edwards, with the Rev. Ron Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in the town of Grand Rapids in Wood County.
Visitation will be at Boston Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and at the church from 10 Tuesday until the service.

Mr. Freeberg was born May 31, 1986, in Wisconsin Rapids, a son of Carrie Wroblewski and Don Sargent. At the age of 2, he moved to Stevens Point. He attended Mc Kinley School and Ben Franklin Junior High School and graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High School in 2004.
He was attending the University of Wisconsin-Stout (UW-Stout), specializing in multimedia design.
He worked for Hardee’s Restaurant during high school and for a short time after entering college. While at the UW Stout, he worked for the ASK 5000 Help Desk. He later became employed at Menard’s, working in distribution.
In earlier years he played baseball in little league.
Survivors include parents, Carrie (Jeff) Wroblewski, Stevens Point, and Don (Barbara) Sargent, Wisconsin Rapids; one stepsister, Beth Wroblewski, Plover; one stepbrother, Nick Wroblewski, Stevens Point; his great-grandfather, Art Cote, Rochester, Minn.; and his grandparents, Vickie and Bill Beichl, Wisconsin Rapids, Ed and Karol Freeberg, Rudolph, Darlene Wroblewski, Plover, and Bernadine Sargent, Wisconsin Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Sargent; his maternal great-grandmother, Betty Cote; and his great-grandparents, Ed and Vi Freeberg.
