Nicolette Marie Castor, 85, 100 North Green Ave., Stevens Point, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2001, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Boston Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alan Burkhardt officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home until the services.
A memorial will be established in her name at a later date.
Mrs. Castor was born March 8,1916, in Rochelle, Ill., a daughter of the late Frank and Maria (Icona) Mattera. She attended school in Rochelle.
She was married to Joseph Castor on Oct. 30, 1933, in Rochelle, Ill. He died April 28, 2000.
They established Castor and Son’s Trucking and Warehouse in Rochelle, which they operated until 1962 when they moved to Plainfield. They operated a vegetable contract farm in Plainfield until 1978. They lived in Portage County 34 years.
She was a member of the St. Ann’s Society at St. Joseph Parish.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie (Frank) Musso, Los Altos, Calif., and Mary (Kurt) Harms, Stevens Point; one son, Frank (Judi) Castor, DeLand, Fla.; one sister, Antoinette Holloway, Rock Falls, Ill.; one brother, Frank Mattera, La Fayette, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph Jr., and one brother, Vito.
