Martha “Marcie” M. Groholski, 94, Manawa, a Custer area native, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, at the Manawa Community Nursing Center.
A Funeral Mass was held Friday, Sept. 7, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa, with the Rev. Bertin Samas, O.F.M. Cap., officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Visitation was Friday at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa on Friday before the services.
Mrs. Groholski was born May 25, 1907, in Custer, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Bluma) Wysocki.
She was married to Joseph N. Groholski on June 28, 1932. He died in 1994.
She was a resident of Manawa for the last 45 years and formerly owned and operated the Blue Haven Ballroom.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa and its Altar Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Nolan, Manawa, and Louise Klapper, Waukesha; one son, Kenneth (Betty) Groholski; two sisters, Grace Karpinski, Verona, and Ceil Hintz, Stevens Point; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
