Effie S. Hetzer, 86, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at Whispering Pines of Plover, where she had resided since January.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Revs. David Maxfield and Kenneth Knutson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Boston Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the services.
Mrs. Hetzer was born Aug. 26, 1915, in Eland, a daughter of the late Carl and Gertrude (Helf) Rustad. She moved to Stevens Point at an early age and attended schools here.
She was married to Arthur Hetzer on Feb. 11, 1932, in Stevens Point. He died Oct. 31, 1986.
She lived in the Stevens Point/Plover area her entire life and was employed by McClellan’s, Copps South Side IGA and Radio Service.
She was a member of and held various offices in the Trinity Lutheran Woman’s Group.
Survivors include two sons, Dave (Ione), Stevens Point, and Jim (Pat) Hetzer, Hudson, N.H.; one daughter, Carol (Mel) Schneeberg, Wisconsin Rapids; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
