Miron “Bill” J. Suski Sr., 82, Amherst, died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher, with the Rev. Robert Pedretti officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst and from 9 a.m. Saturday at the church until the services. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Suski was born Sept. 22, 1918, in the town of Buena Vista, a son of the late Martin and Bertha (Gosh) Suski.
He was married to Pearl Trzebiatowski on Nov. 23, 1939, at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher. She died March 3, 2000.
He worked in Chicago and then farmed in the town of Stockton and then in the town of Amherst.
He played drums with various local polka bands.
Survivors include four daughters, Maryann (Herman) Felckowski and Diane Nelson, both of Amherst, Lorraine (Joseph) Glodowski, Custer, and Berdi (Keith Schroeder) Suski, Oshkosh; three sons, Ron (Maxine) and Miron “Pete” (Terri), both of Amherst, and Greg (Karen), Stevens Point; one sister, Evelyn Sharafinski, Stevens Pont; two half-sisters, Betty Helbach and Marge Docka, both of Amherst; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several stepbrothers and stepsisters.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, one half-brother and two grandchildren.
