James G. Stroik Sr., 65, New London, a Stevens Point native, died Saturday, July 14, 2001, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, with the Rev. David Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church until the services.
The Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in New London is assisting the family.
Mr. Stroik was born May 10, 1936, in Stevens Point, a son of Edward and Sadie (Pawelski) Stroik.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was married to Patricia Podjeski on Sept. 26, 1959, in Stevens Point.
He was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London.
Survivors include his wife; one son, James (Tammy) Jr., Crandon; two daughters, Cindy (Randy) Wood and Debbie (Mike) Goralski, both of Milwaukee; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter, Michaela.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford and Edward.
