Helen M. Witkowski, 98, Wellington Place, died Monday, July 2, 2001, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield while under the care of hospice.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Daniel Farley officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Boston Funeral Home. The rosary will be prayed by St. Anne’s Society at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Witkowski was born Jan. 17, 1903, in Rudolph, a daughter of the late Alexander J. and Mary (Spalenka) Kujawa. She grew up in Rudolph and moved to Stevens Point during high school to live with an aunt.
After graduating from high school, she moved to Berwyn, Ill. She worked for Woolworth Co. as a secretary.
She was married to Stanley D. Witkowski, former president of the Cicero State Bank in Cicero, Ill. After he died, she moved back to Stevens Point in 1972.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Anne’s Society.
Survivors include one daughter, Maryann Jove, Omaha, Neb.; and three sisters, Emily Wysocki, Stevens Point, and Ann Timmons and Genevieve Colter, both of Wellington Place.
