Edna (Helmrick) Tiarks, 85, Almond, died Thursday, July 5, 2001, at Crystal River Nursing Home in Waupaca where she had been a resident.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in Almond, with the Rev. Mark Friedrich officiating. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in the town of Almond.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church.
A memorial has been established in her name.
Hardell-Holly Funeral Home in Almond is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Tiarks was born Oct. 15, 1915, in the town of Amherst, a daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Koentopp) Damrau.
She was married to Arnold Helmrick on June 16, 1937, in Amherst. He died Dec. 23, 1968.
She was married to Walter Tiarks on Nov. 28, 1970. He died March 10, 1995.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst, a member of its Ladies Aid and the Oasis Homemakers Club.
She worked at Del Monte Co. in Plover for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia (Gerald) Wahl, Appleton, and Judy (Richard) Swenson, Albuquerque, N.M.; two sons, Robert (Lynda) Helmrick, Almond, and Douglas (Cynthia) Helmrick, Beaver Dam; one stepson, Roger (Edith) Tiarks, West Allis; 13 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-stepgrandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, four brothers and one grandson.
