Gerald B. Borgen, 81, Waupaca, formerly of Amherst, died Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Bethany Home in Waupaca.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst, with the Rev. Jonathan Sachs, chaplain of Bethany Home, officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in the town of Amherst.
Visitation will be at the church from 1 p.m. Thursday until the services.
Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Borgen was born Jan. 9, 1920, in the town of New Hope, a son of the late Turben and Alma (Anderson) Borgen.
He was married to Frances Rudiger on Dec. 12, 1978, in Amherst.
He was a farmer most of his life.
He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst.
Survivors include one son, John, Minneapolis, Minn.; two sisters, Ruth Trader, Waupaca, and Ethel (Tony) Paap, Oakland, Calif.; five brothers, Keith (Edna), Lyal (Suzanne), Howard, Richard (Beverly) and George, all of Amherst; and his former wife, Frances Rudiger, Appleton.
