Evelyn Amber (Fletcher) Bibby, ;85, formerly of 1920 Linden St., Whiting, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Boston Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenneth Knutson officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Corners Cemetery in the town of Buena Vista.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home until the services.
Mrs. Bibby was born Oct. 24, 1915, in the town of Buena Vista, a daughter of the late John and Amber (Clark) Fletcher. She attended local schools and graduated from Emerson High School.
She was married to Clifford Bibby on June 25, 1938. They farmed until his death on Jan. 13, 1949.
She then moved her family to Stevens Point where she worked for River Pines when it was a tuberculosis sanitarium and later for St. Michael’s Hospital, retiring at age 66.
Survivors include two daughters, Pauline (Jack) Warner, Fox Lake, and Beth (Gil) Molski, Stevens Point; one son, Alvin (Arlene), Stevens Point; four sisters, Edith Bernett, Auburndale, and Joyce Fletcher and Bernice Fletcher, both of Stevens Point, and Dona Rae Fletcher, De Pere; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, David; one sister, Gloria Anderson; two brothers, Sylvan and Everett Fletcher; and three infant brothers.
