Mindi Kae Newby, 31, 716 Franklin St., died at her home on Tuesday, May 15, 2001, from complications of her medical condition.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Boston Funeral Home, with the Rev. Keith Free officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Newby was born Dec. 15, 1969, in Lansing, Mich., a daughter of Arthur and Nanci (Jerome) Anderson. She grew up in Lansing and moved to Mosinee in 1985, graduating from Mosinee High School in 1988.
She was married to Steve Newby on Sept. 17, 1988, in Junction City.
After their marriage they lived in Dancy and moved to Stevens Point, where she opened a day-care center in her home and operated it until the spring of 1999.
She was then employed at Skyward Inc. in customer service until being promoted to shipping technician.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Thomas, at home; one daughter, Lyndsey, at home; her mother, Nanci Anderson, Kansas City, Mo.; her father, Arthur (Myrna) Anderson, Eaton Rapids, Mich.; two sisters, Dawn (Steve) Galloway, Grand Rapids, Mich., and Tammie (Daniel) Marks, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; and her grandparents, Frederick and Betty Jerome, Eustis, Fla., and Ethel Esler.
