Dorothy M. Peplinski, 61, 4508 Pine Ridge Drive, Stevens Point, died Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at home while under the care of Hospice of Portage County.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Donald Przybylski officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. St. Stanislaus Rosary Society will combine with the general rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers memorials in her name may be made to Hospice of Portage County.
Mrs. Peplinski was born Jan. 2, 1940, in the town of Buena Vista, a daughter of the late Leo and Emma (Bronk) Klesmith. She attended P.J. Jacobs High School.
She was married to Robert Peplinski on Nov. 25, 1961, at St. Peter Catholic Church.
After their marriage, they settled in Stevens Point.
She worked for the Sisters of St. Joseph Convent as a nurse’s aid until retiring in 1999.
She was a member of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Society Rose 9 for more than 29 years.
Survivors include her husband, Stevens Point; one son, Kenneth (Vicki), Plover; one daughter, Lori Ann (James) Olski, Nekoosa; four brothers, Carl (Alfreda) Klesmith and Edward (Vicki) Klesmith, both of Milwaukee, and Stanley (Lucille) Klesmith and Hubert (Karen) Klesmith, both of Stevens Point; four sisters, Mary (Sylvester) Ziolkowski, Wisconsin Rapids, and Henrietta (Joe) Blazo, Wanda (Alvin) Gierszewski and Helen (Myron) Gierszewski, all of Milwaukee; and three grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Jerry, and one sister, Delores.
