Rose M. Komperda, 50, Buffalo Grove, Ill., died Monday, April 16, 2001, at the home of her mother in Stevens Point. She was also under the care of Hospice of Portage County.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Casimir Catholic Church in the town of Hull. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. Friday at the church until the services. A general rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in her name will be established at a later date.
Mrs. Komperda was born June 2, 1950, in Stevens Point, a daughter of Stella (Firkus) King and the late Bernard King. She attended St. Casimir and McKinley elementary schools. She attended Emerson Junior High and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1969.
She was employed at Schierl Oil & Heating from 1969 to 1975 and Sentry Insurance from 1975 to 1988. She moved to Buffalo Grove, Ill., in 1989, where she was employed at LaSalle Bank as vice president and manager.
She was an active member of the Buffalo Grove and Wheeling Chambers of Commerce, the Lake County Women in Management and was past president of Chicago O’Hare Rotary Club.
Survivors include one son, Robert Komperda, Stevens Point; her mother; four brothers, Robert (Mary) King, Ernie (Suzanne) King and Bernie (Tammy) King, all of Plover, and Tim (Cindy) King, Stevens Point.
