Mary A. Suchon, 70, 224 Washington Ave., Stevens Point, died Sunday, April 15, 2001.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church, with the Rev. Robert Schaller officiating. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. The St. Peter’s Rosary Society will combine with the parish rosary at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. Suchon was born Jan. 18, 1931, in West Union in Dodgeridge County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Clarence R. and Maude G. (Minor) Ash.
She was married to Anthony J. Suchon on Sept. 21, 1947, in Laurel, Md. He died Sept. 3, 1999.
After their marriage, they settled in Maryland for a short time, moving back to Wisconsin in 1956 where they settled in Mill Creek. They moved to their present address in 1959 and have lived there the past 42 years.
She worked for the Hotel Whiting for many years and also for Larry Fritsch Cards.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Rosary Society Rose 10 for more than 20 years.
Survivors include four daughters, Martha “Marty” (Jeff) Wanta and Mary (Dale) Skrzeczkoski, both of Stevens Point; and Sarah (Robert) Greene and Loretta (Michael) Mallek, both of Plover; four sons, Anthony C. (Barbara), Santa Rosa, Calif., Frank (Nancy) and John (Rhonda), both of Plover, and Samuel (Sharon), Plymouth; two sisters, Louise (Bob) Stout, Buchanon, W.Va., and Areta “Sis” Stutler, Beloit, Ohio; one brother, Charles Ash, Stutentville, W. Va.; 24 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one infant son, two brothers and four sisters.
