Felix Hutkowski, 87, Wisconsin Rapids, brother of three Portage County residents, died Friday, April 20, 2001, at St. Joseph’s Palliative Care Unit in Marshfield.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. John Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids, with military rites provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2534 of Wisconsin Rapids.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids and again from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hutkowski was born Feb. 23, 1914, in Wisconsin Rapids, a son of the late Frank and Mollie (Wolosek) Hutkowski.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, from 1942-1945.
He was married to Elizabeth “Betty” Radke on June 28, 1947, in Wisconsin Rapids.
He was employed at Consolidated Papers Inc. for 31 years, retiring in 1976.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Virginia (David) Weiner, Lafayette, Ind.; two brothers, Daniel (Irma), Bancroft, and Ammery, Wisconsin Rapids; three sisters, Regina Worzella, Plover, Sophie Tekaver, Milwaukee, and Emily (Kenneth) Pagel, Almond; and three grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by six brothers, Joseph, Valerian, Edward, Sylvester, Anthony and Bennie; and three sisters, Clara, Angeline and Marion.
