Ellen L. Bach, 84, Waukesha, a Stevens Point native, died Friday, April 13, 2001.
A Funeral Mass was held Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waukesha. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Waukesha.
Visitation and a vigil service were held Monday at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home in Waukesha.
Memorial contributions to the charity of the donor’s choice are appreciated.
Mrs. Bach was born Dec. 22, 1916, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late John and Mabel (Cater) Steward.
She was married to John E. Bach on Feb. 6, 1936. He died July 11, 1978.
She worked as a professional baker for 25 years at Carroll College in Waukesha, retiring in 1981.
She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Christian Mothers, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Golden Agers, St. Joseph Catholic Church and a charter member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she also worked in the kitchen.
Survivors include three sons, John S. (Diane), Lenexa, Kansas, Charlie (Bonnie), New London, and Peter A., Waukesha; two daughters, Kathy (James) Fabisiak and Jane (Anthony) Carlson, both of Waukesha; two brothers, William (Theresa) Steward, Stevens Point, and Lawrence (Janet) Steward, Las Vegas, Nev.; one sister, Virginia Foss, Waukesha; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Rosemary A. Bach; four brothers, Louis, John, Enos and Lester; and one sister, Mabel, Lester’s twin.
