Dorothy U. Gliot, 83, Almond, died Monday, April 23, 2001, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in the town of Lanark, with the Rev. Daniel Farley officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the town of Lanark.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca and from 9 a.m. Thursday at the church until the services.
Mrs. Gliot was born Nov. 3,1917, in Chicago, Ill., a daughter of the late Michael and Antonia (Tibus) Norek.
She was married to Vernon Gliot on Aug. 12, 1939, in Chicago, Ill. He died July 26, 1990.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Lanark.
Survivors include three sons, Edward (Violet), Thomas and Vernon; two daughters, Margaret (Bruce) Jefferson and Joyce (Jerome) Kopchinski; one sisters, Dolores Fuelner; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Andrea; four brothers, Thomas, George, Michael and the Rev. Peter Norek; and three sisters, Josephine Lieski, Sister Ruth Norek and Gertrude Himsel.
