Doris I. Swetalla, 74, Waupaca, a town of Belmont native, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in the town of Lanark. Interment will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the town of Lanark.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst and again Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the procession leaves for the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Swetalla was born Jan. 24, 1927, in the town of Belmont, a daughter of the late Oscar and Anna (Basford) Jensen.
She was married to William Swetalla on Feb. 26, 1949, in the town of Lanark. He died June 3, 1993.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in the town of Lanark.
She did volunteer work at the Waupaca County Courthouse and Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca.
Survivors include three sons, Raymond, Davenport, Iowa, Paul (Sandra), Waupaca, and John (Laurie), Park Ridge; and three grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Inez Ladd.
