Diana “Tiny” Nachman, 73, 301 Walker St., died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at her residence following a short illness. She was under the care of her daughter and Hospice of Portage County.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, with Pastor John Wessell officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Union Cemetery in the town of Linwood.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the services.
Mrs. Nachman was born July 10, 1927, in the tow of Linwood, a daughter of the late Walter and Minnie (Williams) Spencer. She attended the Linwood one-room school to the eighth grade.
She worked for the Worth, Frost and Weber tackle companies as a fly tier, tying trout flies from 1942 to 1952.
She was married to Frank “Fritz” Nachman on May 5, 1952, at St. Peter Catholic Church. He died Aug. 11, 1996.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna (Bob) Reno, Plover; four sisters, Barbara Carcy, Margaret (Walter) Zywicki and Emily Bembenek, all of Stevens Point; and Jeanette Kitowski, town of Linwood; one brother, Bennie (Rita) Bean, Stevens Point; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Emmett Bean; and two brothers, Chuck and Warren Spencer.
