Rose F. Bannach, 89, 1450 Water St., Stevens Point, died Sunday, March 25, 2001, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the services. The American Legion Auxiliary will hold a ritual at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. The St. Peter Rosary Society will combine with the general rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Mrs. Bannach was born April 26, 1911, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Stanley and Frances (Skotarek) Tomczak.
She was married to Benjamin Bannach in December 1933 in Waukegan, Ill. He died July 23, 1954.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Rosary Society Rose 23 since 1945. She was a member of the American Legion Post 6 Auxiliary and was a past president of the Gold Star Mothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Ann Kline, Virginia, and Mary Kay Vanzandbergen, Stevens Point; five sons, LeRoy (Patsy Mae), San Diego, Calif., Maynard, Colorado, Thomas (Vicki), Tennessee, Rhody (Patricia), town of Eau Pleine, and Russell (Randy A.), Green Bay; one brother, Robert Tomczak, Stevens Point; one sister, Jenny Zblewski, Milwaukee; 22 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one infant son, Jimmy; one son, Gary; one brother and two sisters.
