Edward E. DeSardi, 84, a former longtime Stevens Point resident, died Monday, March 19, 2001, in Chicago, Ill.
Funeral services were Friday, March 23, at the Belmont Funeral Home in Chicago, Ill. Interment was in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Chicago.
Visitation was held Thursday, March 22, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Rainbow Hospice, 1550 N. Northwest Hwy. Ste. 220, Park Ridge, IL 60068.
Mr. DeSardi was born Oct. 2, 1914, in Chicago, Ill., a son of the late Anthony and Amelia DeSardi.
He was a veteran of World War II.
He was married to Dorothy Cook 52 years ago.
They moved to Stevens Point and lived here for about 40 years.
He worked for a construction firm in Chicago.
Survivors include his wife, Palatine, Ill.; two sons, Eric, Dallas, Texas, and Anthony (Catheryne), Palatine, Ill.; one daughter, M. Irene DeSardi, Houston, Texas; one sister, Irene Baldassin; and six grandchildren.
