Carl Joseph Beigel, 79, Bancroft, died Sunday, March 18, 2001, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church in Plainfield, with the Rev. Faustin Misakabo officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Plainfield.
Visitation will be at the church from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the services. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The Gasperic Funeral Home in Plainfield assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Beigel was born Aug. 1, 1921, in the town of Oasis (Waushara County), a son of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Yonke) Beigel.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946 as a sergeant and an aerial engineer.
He was married to Zita Beggs on July 17, 1946.
He was employed at Preway Inc., Laura’s Lane Nursery and Britton Farms.
Survivors include three sons, Mike (Diane), Patrick (Pam) and Tim (Bev), all of Bancroft; five daughters, Carla Jo (Carl) Fletcher, Stevens Point, Bonnie (Mike) Kosobucki, Amherst Junction, Ann (Leroy) Evenson, Hatley, Mary (Ron) Rapini, Lubbock, Texas, and Lois (Kris) Wimme, Wisconsin Rapids; two sisters, Dorothy (Paul) Keough, Wisconsin Rapids, and Rita (John) Meinen, Winneconne, and 20 grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Anthony.
