Wayne Barry Schultz, 51, 3168 Highway 66, Rosholt (town of Sharon), died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, from complications after being stricken with a heart attack.
Services will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Barnes officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
Mr. Schultz was born April 22, 1949, in Milwaukee, a son of the late Gerhart “Budd” and Lois (Krueger) Schultz.
After graduating from high school, he entered the U.S. Army on March 7, 1968, in Milwaukee. He served as a private first class and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with four bronze service stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star Medal and sharpshooter medal. He was honorably discharged March 6, 1970, at Fort Hood, Texas.
He was divorced.
He was a laborer in construction.
Survivors include one son, Anthony, Bayfield; one daughter, Shannon Schultz, Duluth, Minn.; one stepdaughter, Michelle Gordon, Duluth, Minn.; one brother, James (Ann), Gillett; four sisters, Debra (Timothy) Taylor, Milwaukee, Dawn (Juan) Rhode, Clintonville, Denise Dague, Narvon, Pa., and Doreen (Thomas) Garski, Rosholt; and grandchildren.
