Walter Hermann Konitzer, 87, Stevens Point, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at home.
There will be no public services. His body will be cremated.
Shuda Funeral Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Konitzer was born Jan. 14, 1914, in Chicago, Ill., a son of the late Rudolph and Amanda (Lang) Konitzer. He attended school in Chicago.
He was married to Elizabeth Claire on Dec. 10, 1941, in Chicago.
They moved to Stevens Point in 1942 and he worked at a paper mill. He moved to Milwaukee in 1950 and worked as an engineer for Briggs & Stratton until his retirement.
He returned to Stevens Point in 1997.
Survivors include two daughters, Dolores (Dee) Fuerstenberg, Stevens Point, and Jeannie Eiden, San Luis Obispo, Calif.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
