Sarah Margaret Seifert, 101, Chicago, Ill., a Portage County native, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001.
Services were held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Chicago. Burial was in Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, Ill.
Mrs. Seifert was born Dec. 8, 1899, in Ellis in the town of Sharon, a daughter of the late John and Justyna (Lukasavage) Wysocki.
She was a teacher in rural schools in Portage County.
She was married to George Seifert for more than 50 years. He died about eight years ago.
After the marriage they settled in Chicago.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Emanuel, John, Anselm and Francis Wysocki; and five sisters, Sophie Grenier, Prexeda Wysocki, Elizabeth Kabat, Winnifred Wysocki and Justine Kropidlowski.
