Ruth M. Linder, 91, Marathon, mother of a Stevens Point woman, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, while under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marathon, with the Rev. Joseph Diermeier, O.F.M. Cap., officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Visitation was Friday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home in Marathon and on Saturday at the church before the services. A parish rosary service was held Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Linder was born Aug. 22, 1909, in Wauwatosa, a daughter of the late William and Susan (Kohler) Kutschenreuter.
She was married to Irvin Linder on June 16, 1930.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Marathon and its Parish Council of Catholic Women.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Virginia (Paul) Springer, Marathon, and Ruth (Jerome) Warner, Stevens Point; two sons, Donald (Janice) and Robert (Paulette), both of Marathon; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Frederick; one sister, Margaret Deuster; one brother, William Kutschenreuter; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
