Ruth Mildred Laube, 85, 2132 Oak St., died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Revs. Kenneth Knutson and David Maxfield officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Boston Funeral Home. Barbara Rebekah Lodge #9, of which she was a member, will hold a ritual service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
A memorial has been established in her name for Trinity Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Laube was born April 17, 1915, in Chippewa Falls, a daughter of the late Arnt Christian and Kaaren (Moe) Arneson. She grew up in Chippewa Falls and graduated from high school there.
After graduation, she worked for the superintendent of schools in Chippewa Falls until her marriage.
She was married to Leon A. Laube on Oct. 11, 1940, in Chippewa Falls. They were active in the Chippewa Falls Ice-Skating Club.
They moved to Stevens Point in 1952. She worked at Trinity Lutheran Church from 1960 until 1975.
She was a member of the Jefferson School PTA and the Band Parents Association. She was involved in arts and craft activities at Lincoln Center. She participated in the Oddfellows Camp.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bruce (Janis), South Windsor, Conn., and David (Pat), Stevens Point; one daughter, Barbara (Ron) Grabow, Edgerton; one sister, Alice Wagner, Cadott; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
