Roseann Stanke Shaw, 67, Arizona, a town of New Hope native, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001.
Services were Tuesday in Arizona. Her body will be cremated.
A memorial service will be held in Stevens Point at a later date.
Mrs. Shaw was born on Feb. 5, 1934, in the town of New Hope, a daughter of the late Anton and Daisy (Helbach) Werhanowicz. She grew up in the Polonia area.
She was married to Carl Stanke in 1948. They later divorced.
She was later married to Freeman Shaw.
She lived in the area until about 1982 when she moved to Arizona.
Survivors include four sons, Andrew Stanke, Avondale, Ariz., Richard (Kathy) Stanke, Plover, Michael (Debra) Stanke, Wisconsin Rapids, and Robert Stanke, Oshkosh; three daughters, Louise (Jim) Treder and Brenda (Richard) Lehmann, both of Wisconsin Rapids, and Linda Carroll, Alabama; four sisters, Betty Rougeux, Waterford, Emily Fisher, Texas, Josephine and Pauline; four brothers, Frank (Lois) Werhanowicz, Kewaskum, Tony Werhanowicz, Illinois, Ted Werhanowicz, Polonia, and Joe Werhanowicz; 21 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Walter Werhanowicz.
