Roman Francis Chesney, 73, 5293 Highway 66, a Stevens Point area plumber, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Worzalla officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
Mr. Chesney was born Sept. 18, 1927, a son of the late Eva Chesney. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.
He entered the U.S. Navy and received an honorable discharge on July 23, 1954.
He was a master plumber in the Stevens Point area until his retirement.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie (Basal) Powers, Wausau, and Carol (Gary) Schroeder, Wisconsin Rapids; four sons, Patrick, Fond du Lac, Jack, Wisconsin Rapids, Michael, Junction City, and Robert (Jean) and Roy, both of Stevens Point; seven grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
