Nora M. Hagen, 93, Wittenberg, mother of a Stevens Point man, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Homme Home in Wittenberg.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Homme Home Chapel in Wittenberg, with the Revs. Roger McAbee and Philip Peterson officiating. Interment will be in the spring in Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery in Wittenberg.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Schmidt-Schulta Funeral Home in Wittenberg and again from 1 p.m. Sunday at the church until the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wittenberg and Homme Home in Wittenberg.
Mrs. Hagen was born Nov. 3, 1907, in Navarino, a daughter of the late John and Eline (Anderson) Bentson. She attended Navarino and Wittenberg schools, graduating from Wittenberg High School in 1926.
She was married to Olin N. Hagen on Oct. 11, 1930, in Wittenberg. He died July 17, 1979.
They farmed near Wittenberg for 36 years, retiring in the spring of 1966.
She did secretarial work for the Homme Children’s Home in Wittenberg for 12 years.
She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and was a choir member, Luther League treasurer, Sunday school teacher, Ladies Aid treasurer, Circle chairman, funeral committee member, ALCW president and Homme Home Auxiliary Board member and volunteer. She was also an office manager for the Indian Mission in Wittenberg.
Survivors include one son, Orwoll (Lois), Stevens Point; one daughter, Dorothy (Keith) Bird, Spartanburg, S.C.; six grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and two step-great-grandsons.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
