Glenn L. Groshek, 59, 1821 Highway 10 W., Stevens Point, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek, with Deacon Robert Hensen officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. Thursday at the church until the services. A Bible vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established at a later date.
Mr. Groshek was born Dec. 20, 1941, in Milwaukee, a son of Irene (Wiczek) Groshek and the late Hubert Groshek.
He was married to Barbara Marquard on Oct. 21, 1961, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek.
He was employed at various companies, including Asphalt Products of Stevens Point, Mertens Trucking, Indian Head Trucking and H.J. Martens Inc., all of Junction City. He was most recently employed at Delzell Oil Co. of Stevens Point.
He also farmed in the town of Eau Pleine for 19 years.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Coreen (A. Todd) Busch, Washington; two sons, Michael (Sherri) and Gene, both of Junction City; three sisters, Joan (Tom) Nowak, Sussex, and Elaine (Robert) Bembenek Jr. and Kathy (Roger) Flees, both of Plover; and nine grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one infant brother.
